ABOUT
Born in São Paulo, SP (Brazil), holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Conducting from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), Brazilian conductor André Bachur began his musical path with the violin and, over the years, expanded his training to piano, mandolin, tenor guitar, and Bahian guitar, establishing himself as both an instrumentalist and conductor.
The blurring of boundaries between different musical genres is a hallmark of his work: he moves from Baroque to contemporary music; from classical repertoire to world premieres and collaborations with leading figures of the music scene. With an open and creative approach, he navigates naturally between popular and classical traditions, reaffirming his commitment to a diverse, accessible, and high-level musical practice.
MENTORS AND STUDIES
Throughout his career, André Bachur was guided by renowned mentors such as Aylton Escobar, Gil Jardim, and Sérgio Assumpção.
